Dear Parent/Student
Thank you for your interest in ROX School of Dance & Drama. I hope
the following information will answer any questions you may have,
but please feel free to give me a call if you wish to look round the facilities
on offer.
How long has the school been going?
- ROX was founded in 1991, it started in a church hall but due to its success
I moved to the current premises in 1996.
What facilities are available?
- Four large mirrored dance studios all with fully sprung floors

- Changing room ~ Parents waiting area
- Dancewear shop
- Hot and cold refreshments and use of microwave, kettle etc.
What sort of tuition is available?
- Dancing including Ballet Modern Tap Jazz and Pop Dance
- LAMDA Drama exams ~ Singing Classes
- RAD & ISTD examinations
- All classes are available ‘just for fun’ or towards recognised
exams
- All ages and abilities are welcome
What opportunities are there for performing?
- Every 3 years ROX holds a show at the end of summer term incorporating
all aspects of dance, drama etc. All students are invited to take part.
- The school enters both group and solo performances in the Brighton and
Worthing Festivals. All students are invited to take part.
- ROX provided juveniles for the Theatre Royal Brighton pantomimes 2004
and 2005
Any other information
- Each class has a ‘uniform’ which must be worn. A uniform
list can be found later in the prospectus.
- Any student paying for modern tap and ballet is entitled to free singing
lessons
- Parents are invited to attend the last class of every term to watch and
discuss their child’s progress.
- Students who are already studying with another dance school will not
be accepted for dance classes but will be accepted for singing or drama
tuition.
